Dani Johnson
Dancer

Originally from Ramsey, Minnesota, Dani received her BFA in Dance from Western Michigan University, along with a certificate in Dance Studio Management. During her time at WMU, she was a member of Western Dance Project and had the opportunity to work with and perform choreography by various artists including Kiki Lukas, Kim Cooper, Monique Haley, and Kaitlyn Pollock. Dani has also danced with Crash Dance Productions’ pre-professional company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Alluvion Dance Chicago. In 2021, she had the honor of performing Ten/10, choreographed by Sara Kausch, which was the winning work of the Maggie Allesee Choreography Competition. Her collaborative work with Sawyer McNamara, Ascendancy, premiered as part of the 2023 WMU Winter Dance Concert as well as the Dare to Dance Festival in St.Louis. Dani currently serves as the Director of Programs at LoMastro Performing Arts Academy, where she combines her passion for dance and teaching. She loves mentoring dancers of all ages and is especially passionate about helping the next generation of dancers grow in confidence, artistry, and technical ability.
